We advise to refrain from intercourse from 2-4 weeks.
FAQ Cosmetic Gynecology, If I do not live in the Los Angeles, can I schedule my consultation the same day as surgery?
Yes. Many of our out of town patients have their consultations immediately prior to surgery. At this time we perform a physical exam and discuss the surgery that interest you in full detail.
Are there hotels near your office?
Yes. There are numerous hotels in the area about 5 to 10min away from the office. When you call to schedule your consultation we will be happy to provide you with information.
Will Labiaplasty result in decrease in sensation during sex?
There should be no changes in sensation. In fact some women report enhancement in their sex lives since they no longer feel self conscious regarding their labia.
When can I resume exercise post Labiaplasty surgery?
We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise for at least four weeks and possibly longer.
Does Insurance Cover The Costs of a Hymen Repair, Labiaplasty or Vaginoplasty?
Insurance usually does not cover the cost of this surgery because it is considered elective.
When Can I Resume Sexual Activity After Vaginoplasty?
Approximately six weeks after surgery.
What Is The Postoperative Period Like for Vaginoplasty?
You will have discomfort at the surgical site for the first few days which will then decrease. Patients are given prescription for pain medication and antibiotics. Full healing takes approximately six weeks. All sutures used are absorbable and therefore do not need to be removed.
Will I be able to deliver vaginally post Labiaplasty?
The procedure doesn’t interfere with vaginal childbirth.
